Welding in the World

The aim of Welding in the World is to advance the science and technology of welding and joining by publishing authoritative papers on all aspects of materials joining, such as:

  • advances in joining processes including welding, brazing, soldering, cutting, thermal spraying and allied joining and fabrication techniques
  • additive manufacturing
  • metallurgical and materials interactions associated with joining
  • engineering properties and assessment of joints
  • automation and sensor technology
  • modeling and simulation
  • welding physics
  • application of artificial intelligence to materials joining
  • health, safety and environmental aspects of joining
  • industrial applications

To perform this activity the IIW relies upon the outstanding work of the Editors-in-Chief of the journal:

  • Majid Farajian (Chair), Gesellschaft fuer Schweisstechnik International GSI SLV, Duisburg Germany
  • Norbert Enzinger, Graz University of Technology, Graz, Austria
  • Thomas Kannengiesser, Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing, BAM, Berlin, Germany
  • Americo Scotti, Federal University of Uberlândia, Uberlândia – MG, Brazil

and of a distinguished Editorial Board.
