Certification of the welding fabrication process - ISO 3834

ISO 3834 is a standard to guide manufacturers in the management of welding fabrication activities from design to delivery. Conformance to ISO 3834 can ensure manufacturing capability and staff competence, and it leads to a smoother and more sustainable fabrication.

IIW offers certification to Welding Manufacturers according to ISO 3834 based on a well-established certification system, developed on the IIW’s competence and supported by the sharing of best practices on a global basis.

The IIW manufacturer Certification differentiates from other third-party certifications, as it ensures high professionality of Auditors associated with a strong in-depth knowledge of welding manufacturing and its related issues. It is based on global best practices and ensures consistency of procedures and evaluations independent of the manufacturing site.

The IIW network of the Authorized Nominated Bodies for Company Certification (IIW ANBCCs) takes advantage of more than 75 years of history of IIW and makes this knowledge available to manufacturers to assist them in the implementation of ISO 3834.
